Aerial Culling

in recent times we have seen a ramping up of the Aerial deer culling program by Parks Victoria.

These programs see large swathes of public land locked up for activities that see very little deer culled and left in the bush to rot and provide a smorgasbord to carnivorous feral animals.

We understand a recent operation in the Myrtleford area cost an estimated $25,000 a day and only took 12 deer in a week.

That’s over $14,000 per deer shot and left to rot. This is a total waste of taxpayers money where there is a viable alternative.

SFFP will continue to push for more public land to be open and available to deer hunters. It is essentially a free service, and we even pay for the privilege.
