Branch events and SFFP on the road
G’day Gang Ethan here.
After a tumultuous 2020 where we needed to hold branch meetings via zoom, we came into 2021 with gusto. We managed to hold face-to-face branch meetings for Ballarat, Echuca and Wodonga prior to the 4th lockdown and we are planning branch meetings for Warragul and Sale very soon too. We are waiting on announcements regarding capacity limits before we call a face-to-face Metro Branch meeting (looking at early July).
Our first big event was Farmworld in Warragul, this show was at capacity for all 3 days and we had a fantastic turnout with lots of interest from attendees, we had Jeff’s MP stand next to ours so it was great to see Donna and the gang again. Not long after was Seymour Alternative farming expo. We are grouped in what’s colloquially known as “hunters lane” where we sat alongside Fat Rat Trading form Kilmore, Barry and the gang from ADA, Para Park and Paul Boags outdoors. Seymour has always been a fantastic show for us and we look forward to keeping our relationship going.
East Gippsland Field days was the weekend after, it only runs for 2 days but the numbers were fantastic, we love going to these smaller shows. Now for a first we attended Mildura field days in May; Joe and her crew put on a fantastic show and it was great to catch up with our Mildura members whilst we were there.
Ethan’s note. I’ve really put kilometers on the Amarok this year
As winter rolls on we are looking forward to holding another “Bullets and Barbecue” event in spring and an inter-branch fishing competition around the same time.
